The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Trust University, Barishal was established in 2021 with a view to providing fundamental and advanced courses of biochemistry and molecular biology to several programs, including Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary and Animal Science, and Engineering.

The department has been striving to maintain the highest quality of teaching-learning processes while actively engaging in research in plant biochemistry, genomics, and microbial genetics.
