Master of Arts in English (MA in English)

The Department of English, established in 2018 as one of the founding departments of the university, aspires to produce competent graduates, professionals, researchers, and beyond. Currently, the department has more than 300 students and offers two programs: B.A Hons and M.A in English. The standard of education and admission comply with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), Bangladesh.

This department is more than an academic institution — it is a community of scholars, innovators, and change-makers. The curriculum is rigorous and responsive to the evolving demands of the modern world. Courses incorporate language, linguistics, and literature, including communicative English, Business English, Professional Intensive English, Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing English.

The English department boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, a well-equipped library, a hi-tech language lab, a career counselling cell, and a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular programs to ensure holistic growth.
